Yoga found me during my adolescence- a time when we are all extra squirmy in our own skin. I danced in and out of yoga most of my life. When I moved to Manhattan in 2009, the practice beckoned to me. It became my emotional safe haven.
And thus yoga itself became a teacher, a nurturer, a healer, and a friend. From the practice I have met my gurus and mentors who have been a means of support, tough love, and endless amounts of information.
"The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness"
The peace obtained from mindful movement is magnified when breath-work, meditation, and resonance are are added to the mix. Intermingled or harnessed separately, these modalities are the pathway to stillness.
